Ford Service

Ford Service WithoutThe Dealership Runaround

The same depth of Ford knowledge, without the wait, the upsell script, or the loaner-car negotiation. We know these trucks — the EcoBoost quirks, the Power Stroke wear points, the faults that read like one thing and turn out to be another.

Specialists, not generalists who also see Fords

Ford is what we know best. That means recognising the failure patterns specific to these platforms instead of working through a generic diagnostic tree at your expense.

It also means being straight about when a job genuinely belongs at a dealer — warranty work, open recalls, or a repair that needs factory tooling we do not have. We would rather send you to the right place than take a job we cannot do properly.

Ford Trucks

F-150, Super Duty, Ranger, Maverick and Transit. Work trucks and daily drivers get the same treatment — diagnosed properly, repaired once, and returned when we said it would be.

Trucks that tow or carry weight wear differently to trucks that commute. We factor how the vehicle is actually used into what we recommend and when.

  • F-150, all generations
  • F-250 / F-350 Super Duty
  • Ranger and Maverick
  • Transit vans and light fleet
  • Towing-related brake and cooling wear
  • Lifted and modified setups

Ford SUVs & Cars

Explorer, Expedition, Bronco, Escape and Mustang. Family vehicles where a surprise breakdown is genuinely disruptive, so catching wear early matters more than usual.

We keep an eye on the known weak points for each platform rather than waiting for them to fail.

  • Explorer and Expedition
  • Bronco and Bronco Sport
  • Escape
  • Mustang
  • Platform-specific known issues
  • Family-vehicle safety inspections

Scheduled Ford Maintenance

Ford publishes a maintenance schedule for a reason, and following it is the cheapest ownership decision available.

We service to the factory interval for your specific engine and drivetrain, using the correct fluid specifications — which on modern Fords is not a place to improvise.

  • Factory-interval oil and filter service
  • Correct fluid specifications
  • Transmission and differential service
  • Transfer case and 4WD service
  • Filters, belts and plugs
  • Multi-point inspection

Ford Diagnostics

Modern Fords run a lot of modules, and a fault in one regularly shows up as a symptom somewhere else entirely. Codes point at circuits, not causes.

We scan every module, read live data and test the circuit before condemning a part.

  • All-module code scanning
  • Live data and PID analysis
  • Network and module communication faults
  • Intermittent fault investigation
  • Drivability diagnosis
  • Written cause explanation

EcoBoost Systems

EcoBoost engines make excellent power and are genuinely reliable when maintained — but they are less forgiving of neglected oil changes than the naturally aspirated engines they replaced.

Turbochargers, direct injection, intercoolers and cooling systems all have known wear patterns. We know what to look for on each.

  • Turbocharger inspection and repair
  • Boost and charge-air leak testing
  • Direct-injection carbon concerns
  • Intercooler condensation issues
  • Cooling-system integrity
  • EcoBoost-specific misfire diagnosis

Power Stroke Diesel

Diesel work is its own discipline. Fuel systems run at extreme pressure, emissions systems are complex, and the cost of a wrong diagnosis is far higher than on a petrol engine.

We are candid about which diesel jobs we take and which are better placed elsewhere.

  • Power Stroke maintenance intervals
  • Fuel-system diagnosis
  • Glow plugs and cold-start complaints
  • Emissions-system faults
  • Turbo and boost diagnosis
  • Cooling and EGR concerns

Ford Brake Service

Truck brakes work harder than car brakes, especially anything that tows. Pad and rotor life varies enormously with how the vehicle is used.

We measure rather than estimate, and tell you the real remaining life.

  • Pads and rotors, front and rear
  • Calipers and hardware
  • Brake fluid service
  • ABS diagnosis
  • Towing-related brake wear
  • Pulsation and noise complaints

Ford Transmission & Drivetrain

Shift complaints on modern Fords are often software or sensor related rather than mechanical, which is a very different repair and a very different bill.

We diagnose the complaint before anyone starts discussing a rebuild.

  • Transmission fluid service to spec
  • Shift-quality diagnosis
  • Transfer case and 4WD faults
  • Driveshaft and U-joint work
  • Differential service
  • Drivability investigation

Ford Suspension & Steering

Truck front ends wear predictably — and on lifted or heavily used trucks, faster than the schedule suggests.

We identify the specific worn components rather than quoting the entire front end.

  • Shocks and struts
  • Ball joints and control arms
  • Tie rods and steering components
  • Wheel bearings and hubs
  • Lifted and levelled suspension
  • Alignment-related wear

Ford Electrical Systems

Trucks accumulate accessories — lighting, brake controllers, winches, upfitter switches — and a large share of electrical faults trace back to how something was wired in.

We trace circuits properly instead of replacing modules hopefully.

  • Wiring and connector repair
  • Module communication faults
  • Trailer wiring and brake controllers
  • Lighting and accessory faults
  • Parasitic draw diagnosis
  • Aftermarket accessory troubleshooting

Ford Cooling Systems

Overheating is the fastest route from a manageable repair to a replaced engine, and EcoBoost engines are particularly unforgiving of cooling neglect.

Coolant loss without a visible leak is worth investigating immediately.

  • Pressure testing and leak location
  • Thermostats and housings
  • Water pumps
  • Radiators and hoses
  • Cooling fans and controls
  • Correct Ford coolant specification

Ford AC & Heating

Cabin comfort faults on Fords are frequently blend-door actuators rather than the refrigerant system — a completely different repair to a recharge.

We diagnose which it is before selling either.

  • AC performance testing
  • Leak detection and repair
  • Evacuate and recharge to spec
  • Blend-door actuator faults
  • Heater core and heat complaints
  • Rear climate systems

Common Ford symptoms

Familiar patterns on these platforms. Worth checking early.

  • EcoBoost misfire under boost or in damp weather
  • Shudder or harsh shifting under light throttle
  • Steering wander or a clunk over bumps
  • Brake pulsation, particularly on a truck that tows
  • Coolant loss with no visible leak
  • Check-engine light with more than one stored code
  • Rough cold start or extended cranking on a diesel
  • Warm air from one vent and cold from another

The dealership alternative

What actually differs when you bring a Ford here.

  1. 01

    You talk to the technician

Not a service writer relaying a message. The person who diagnosed it explains it.

  2. 02

    Diagnosis before parts

We test to a cause. You are not funding a process of elimination.

  3. 03

    Priorities, not a wish list

Safety-critical now, recommended soon, monitor later. You decide with real information.

  4. 04

    Straight about limits

Warranty work, open recalls or jobs needing factory tooling belong at a dealer. We will say so.

Common questions

Do I lose my Ford warranty by servicing here?

No. Federal law protects your right to have routine maintenance performed by an independent shop without voiding the factory warranty, provided the work meets specification and is documented. We service to Ford intervals and keep records. Warranty repairs themselves still have to go through a dealer.

Do you work on Power Stroke diesels?

Yes, and we are candid about scope. Diesel fuel systems and emissions work are specialised; we will tell you plainly if a specific job is better placed with a dedicated diesel facility.

Can you service a lifted or modified truck?

Yes. Modified suspension changes wear patterns and geometry, and we account for that rather than treating it as a stock vehicle.

Which Ford models do you service?

F-150, Super Duty, Ranger, Maverick, Explorer, Expedition, Bronco, Escape, Mustang and Transit — the current range and older generations.

Is an independent shop cheaper than the dealer?

Usually, though the bigger difference is how the work is decided. You get a diagnosis you can follow and a clear split between what is urgent and what can wait.
